The Nigeria National League side,Remo Stars Football Club, have signed on 27 players into
their youth team from the participating Football academies after a 3
days screening exercise in Ijebu-Ode,Media officer Michael Onikute reveals.
Kakuri Football Academy from Kaduna State recorded the
highest number of players signed with (4) while Monsuru Moru of Ine
Stars of Benin was the youngest player signed from the exercise.
Speaking after the exercise Team Manager of the Shagamu,Ogun State based outfit Yinka Samuel
welcomed the players signed and was full of optimism seeing some of the
players representing the country in the next U 17 World Cup.
"We are happy for this young lads to have been picked by
the coaches and eventually make the final squad, its the beginning of
their football career's and they have made the right step by making the
Junior team of this great club.
"I want to encourage every one of them to keep working hard
because they are yet to arrive at the world stage rather they have been
seen coach able by the coaches of the team and with the right mentality
and coaching i am certain they will be representing the country in the
next U 17 World Cup cause they have the potential to do so".
Remo Stars nicknamed the sky blue Stars is owned by Nigerian buisness mongul,Kunle Soname.
