Kolanut Wonders For Eagles At CHAN,As Nigeria Pound Niger




"Kolanut" Chikatara
After a goalless first 45 minutes,the super Eagles of Nigeria proved too hot for their opponents,the Menas of Niger Republic with an emphatic 4-1 demolition in their group C opener.


A hat trick by the "Kolanut " Boy Chisom Chikatara who came off the bench to prove his worth and one from Osas Okoro saw the Sunday  Oliseh home grown Eagles confirm their supremacy of fellow West African neighbours and as well send warning signals to other opponents.


Nigeria dominated the second half with great display of understanding. Osadebamwen (Osas) Okoro opened scoring for Nigeria in the 46mins,Kolanut got  the second on the 75mins,the Nigeriens pulled one back on the 80th minutes through Adebayor Zakari Adje,and one minute later Kolanut made it goal number three.Chikatara got his hat trick on the 90minutes dot to compound the woes of the opponents.

Nigeria now top Group C ahead of Tunisia and Guinea who played to a 1-1 draw earlier on in the day.Nigeria's next game is against Tunisia on Friday. 

The three goals by Abia Warriors Chisom Chikatara is the first hattrick of the tournament and that has also shot him into the lead as the highest goals scorer so far in Rwanda.
