Players Union demands Extra Commitment From National team Players

Mr,Popo,APFON Secretar.
The Association of Professional Footballers of Nigeria ( APFON ) wants Players invited  to the national teams, especially the super Eagles to show  more commitment and patriotism.Ex-Nigerian international ,Austin Popo ,who is the secretary of the players Union ,told,amarignis.blogspot.com .

Popo, said the  Union equally wants Nigerians to be patient with the super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh and avoid hasty conclusion in judging the performance of the coach based on the poor runs of the team so far.

It is equally important to advice the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation not  to break its focus from its ongoing  developmental program which captures the new vision of repositioning our Football and not allow the poor results recorded by the senior national team in recent times  following the critism that are  bound to trail the Eagles poor performance to distract them .
"It is worthy to note that when national teams of most advanced footballing nations of the world, such as England, Spain, Italy etc fail to perform,  nobody calls for the heads of their football Federation Officials as is common in Nigeria. It is high time for us as a nation to move with the rest of the world by not inputing the results of our national teams with the performance of the Federation, especially when all the necessary logistics has been provided by the federation for the team to perform"
"This is the only way  we can secure the stability required for a long term development plan for our Football which is a cardinal vision of the present football administration . We all know that every vision speaks at the last, and not at the beginning".
