Five States Emerge For The Finals of Nigeria Women's Cricket Championship

Preliminary games in the 6th edition of the Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s Championship were decided over the weekend  across five zones of the country.
The Five qualified states  from the zones will play in  the National Finals in Abuja,scheduled to bowl off  Later this month on a date yet to be made public by the NCF.

SOUTH-SOUTH: Defending champions Rivers State defeated Edo State by 6 wickets to qualify from the zone for the National Finals in Abuja.

SOUTH-EAST:Anambra State defeated Ebonyi and Imo State to emmerge as South East Champions and they will represent the Zone at the finals in Abuja.

SOUTH-WEST: Oyo State qualified to represent the zone for the first time after fending off strong competition from Ogun and Ekiti State. Oyo State will represent the Zone at the finals in Abuja

NORTH-WEST: Games in the North-West was called off as Kebbi State were forced toreturn back home after the team bus developed a technical fault on their way to Kaduna who were host in that Zone. Kaduna State gets authomatic qualification spot to represent North-West Zone at the finals in Abuja.

NORTH-CENTRAL: Team FCT traveled to Kwara State who were host in this tournament. Team FCT wont the mach by 8 wickets to qualify for the finals which will be played on home soil
