Nigeria Invites Three Foreign Based Professionals Ahead Of African Rugby Sevens

The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has finally unveiled a list of 12 players that will represent the country in the Africa Cup Sevens Tournament kicking off in Nairobi, Kenya from the 23rd – 24th of this month.

The list is made of five forwards and seven backs ,which also includes three foreign based professional players.

The professionals  players are  the South Africa based forward duo of Christian Ogar of Belhar RFC and  ThankGod Okafor of  Sharks RFC,and Temitope Okenla of Gravesend RFC in the United Kingdom-UK.

Team captain Azeez Ladipo of the Cowrie RFC of Lagos leads the pack,others who made the list are forwards -  Samuel Ekpo (Cowrie RFC- Lagos),Chidera Iheme (Jos RFC),David Oyekanmi (Racing RFC- Lagos).

And backers - Nuhu Ibrahim (Barewa RFC- Kano),Onoru Jatto  (Cowrie RFC, Lagos),Joey Etim (Barewa RFC- Kano),Alfred Oche (Cowrie RFC, Lagos) and Sadam Abubakar (Zaria RFC, Kaduna).

The Camp opens today   in Lagos, the team is expected to depart for Nairobi on the 21st of this month. 

Three others , Ryan Misan Onwu  (Aberystwyth Town Rfc, UK),John Oladele (Cowrie RC, Lagos),Ezekiel Tom (Gosar RFC, Lagos) are on the waiting list.
