Zambia Get New Coach For Super Eagles Ahead of Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifier





Nyirenda ,new Zambia coach.
The Football Association of Zambia (Faz) have just  announced the appointment of Wedson Nyirenda as assistant national team coach with immediate effect.


Nyirenda  will be incharge until  the recruitment of a substantive  expatriate coach,the Zambian Football authorities are still   finalizing the process of getting the permanent handler for the Chipolopolo with the  ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development ,a development that has reached  an advanced stage. 
Once this is concluded  Wedson Nyirenda will revert to his appointed role of full-time assistant national team coach. Nyirenda joins the Zambia national team from Ferroviario de Beira in Mozambique. 

Former coach George Lwandamina was relieved of his duties after failing to qualify Zambia for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Gabon and this will enable him  focus more on Zesco United’s campaign in the Caf Champions League where they are in contention for a place in the final. 

Zambia Football Association General Secretary,Ponga Liwewe said "The change is immediate and we believe that Mr Nyirenda will add immense value to the national team''

'' And In view of the fact that Zesco united are engaged in the semifinal of the Caf Champions League with two consecutive matches approaching, the Football Association of Zambia released  George Lwandamina to face  this assignment which is of equal importance to the country. We believe that he can win the Champions league and are in a great position to do so," 

Nyirenda has also coached Zanazo United of Zambia,he holds a Master of Science (MS) in International Manageement.
