Croatian Expert To Engage Nigerian Handballers


Sostaric,new Croatian coach for Nigeria Handball.
Former captain of the “Golden Arrows” Nigeria’s Male Handball Team,Emmanuel Okocha is excited with the decision of the International Handball Federation (ITF) to send a Croatian expatriate coach ,Nenad Sostaric to the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN).
Okocha who is now the players representative on the board of the Handball Federation,was quick to note that only a running Handball League will help the Croate and the sport to succeed.
"It is a very good gesture by the World body to send technical help for the country,we must applaud their effort,but i tell you if  Mr.Sostaric and the sport must succeed ,we will have to ensure a running Handball League in place,because the place come from the and the League is one we must resuscitate"  

Okocha, who played for the Federal Road Safety Commission-FRSC also spoke on the need for regular competitions for Handballers :One of the reason why we failed to win  a  medal at the last All Africa Games in Congo, was as a result of rustiness due to lack of competitions which was evident in the performance of the players,the Handball Federation of Nigeria ,he stressed must challenge energy in providing enough competitive games to help grow the sport" Okocha concluded.
