Vice President of the body in the South South zone,Larry Kubeinje cited the ugly and disgraceful incident where FC Taraba players had to sleep outside the government House in Jalingo,Taraba State for nine days to press home demands for their outstanding eleven (11) months salary.

"There are  similar situations in all the 20 professional league clubs in Nigeria, some clubs are even owing salaries and contract fees far back as 2012 and 2011,we at  NANF wonder why the Nigeria Football Federation is yet to take  decisive step towards ameliorating the plight of players in our professional leagues".

"This cannot be a decision for the league management company alone, the Nigeria Football Federation must come out with a categorical statement instructing all clubs to pay two weeks before the commencement of the 2016 season. Those clubs that cannot pay their outstanding should be sanctioned and excluded from 2016 football season"

Larry Kubeinje concluding said, the players Union will be left with no option than to have a direct confrontation with the clubs to ensure they meet their obligations to the players,If the NFF fails or refuses to compel the clubs to meet their obligations before the 2016 season commence.
