Salisu Not Out Of Super Eagles Coaching Job,Nff

Paul Bassey.
A member of the technical and development committee of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF),Paul Bassey says caretaker coach Salisu Yusuf is in the race for the Super Eagles plum job.

Bassey’s submission has dismissed reports that Salisu Yusuf was told by the NFF to forget the chase.
"If that was the case there would have been no need for him applying for the job,Salisu is a very good coach ,he knows the players and they know him.You will recall recently he was given the team to prepare for the two international friendly matches we had with Mali and Luxemburg and he did well,he is in the running" Bassey submitted

Salisu made the three cut list alongside Frenchman,Paul Le Guen, and Belgium’s Tom Saintfiet from the 23 that applied for the position.

Paul Bassey, spokesman of the Committee, who is also  the chairman of Nigerian premier League side Akwa United, and an instructor of the game with, the confederation of African Football –CAF  allayed  fears that the NFF would find it difficult paying the coach to be appointed under the prevailing economic situation.

Hear him:We were given a job to do and we have done it by shortlisting those we consider the best from the lot, right from the beginning the NFF knew that hiring a coach whether foreign or local would require them paying,so i think the Federation knows the implication of acquiring any coach "

Paul Bassey told amarignis.blogspot.com that the NFF will  announce the new coach not later than the 18th of this month.
