The Nigeria Premier League:One City ,Two Games



The center of excellence Lagos will host two Nigeria Premier League games as the country's professional Football League (NPFL),hits Match Day 16 Wednesday.
 
The famous Onikan Water front Stadium,and the refurbished Agege Stadium, all in Nigeria's former capital ,Lagos will host two matches involving two teams from the acquatic center,
 Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club  (MFM)  will tango defending champions Enyimba International Football Club of Aba,at the Agege Stadium,while struggling Ikorodu United try their luck against visiting Plateau United.

Incidentally both MFM and Ikorodu United are the latest teams from the second tier League ,the Nigeria National League (NNL) to be promoted to the elite class.

The Olukoya Boys as MFM are nicknamed  are 8th on the 20-team top flight table on 22 points from 15 league matches while the People’s Elephant (Enyimba) occupy the 11th spot on the log with 20 points with three games to spare against Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists and sister side, Abia Warriors. 

Ikorodu United otherwise called the Oga Boys,play at the 5,000 capacity Onikan Stadium against ever resilient Plateau United,bothe teams are coming from the National League.Ikorodu are drowned in the murky waters with 9 points from 15 games,Plateau United have 19 points from 15 games and are placed 13th on the log.
