Aruna Romps Into Round Four At The Olympics

Nigeria and Africa's top Table Tennis player,Aruna Quadri earlier today stunned 5th seed,Chuang Chil-Yuang of Chinese Tapei  4-0 to zoom to the 4th  round (sixteen) in the men;s singles of the Rio 2016 Table Tennis event.


Aruna,who is with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC, won in four straight sets ,posting an impressive record of 11-6,12-10,11-6,and 11-6 to give the highly rated opponent no chance in the seven race match.The win is Aruna's biggest in his career.

Twenty seven year old Aruna will next play Timo Boll of Germany who defeated his Russian opponent in the 3rd round aswell,4-3 to set the clas today(Monday) in the round of sixteen.

The Nigeria legend got a bye in the first round and started his campaign on a good note after dismissing Slovakis's Yang Wang 4-1 .
