Afrobasket:D'Tigers Pounce on Central African Republic

Nigeria's D'Tigers began their campaign at the 2015 Afrobasketball Championship in Tunisia on a bright note ,swooping over the Central African Republic counterparts 88 - 63 in their opener game Wednesday in Rades in a group action.

Aminu Al-Farouq scored 15points,Olaseni Lawal 14 Rebounds and Umeh Michael had 4 Assists.
Nigeria play Uganda next on Friday also in Rades.
In the other games Wednesday,Egypt whipped Gabon,96 -49,Cameroon hit Mali 70 - 56points
The Afrobasket Championship  will end on the 30th of this month.
The winner will qualifies automatically to represent Africa at the 2016 Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament ,scheduled from 6-21 August ,in Rio De Janeiro,Brazil.
The 2nd- and 3rd-place teams earn spots for 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT).This means that the second and third placed countries , can still give themselves another shot at fulfilling their Olympic aspirations by securing places for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (4-10 July 2016)
