Okagbare,Ogho-Oghene Egwero lead Nigeria Athletes pack to World Championship In Athletics and All Africa Games

The Nigeria Athletics Federation  (AFN) has released a list of twenty three athletes comprising eighteen females and five males to champion the country's quest for glory at the coming World Championship in Athletics and the All Africa Games 2015.
Top performer  and sprint sensation ,Blessing Okagbare is in the fore front  of  the female  athletes while National and Africa's junior  International Ogho-Oghene Egwero leads the  pack of men .

 The 2015 World Athletics Championships is slated for this  August from the 22nd through to the  30th in Beijing, China ,with All Africa Games billed to start from the 3rd of next month in Congo Brazzaville.

Nigeria's brightest hope on the tracks will feature in the 100m,200 and the 4x100 event with Goria Asumnu,Stephanie Kalu,Deborah Odeyemi;Cecilia Francis and Ngozi Onwumere.

In the 400/4x400m event :Patience Okon,Regina George,Oluwatosin Adeloye,Etim Margaret;Funke Oladoye and Rita Ossai are competing.

Doreen Amata is the country's soul athlete in the High Jump event,Lindsay Weyimi Lindley runs in the 100m hurdles while Amaka Ogoegbunam wil compete in the 400m hurdles.

In the Long jump is rising Ese Brume,Chinwe Okoro in the Dicuss and Uhunoma Naomi Osauwa for the Heptathlon event.

Nigeria's fastest male runner so far on the home front ,Ogho-Oghene Egwero is the country's soul athlete in the 100m ,Odele Tega Peter will feature in the 200m.The 110m hurdles has  Tyron Akins,Ukaoma Miles for the 400m hurdles,while Tosin Oke runs in the Triple Jump event.

 

For the meantime,Solomon Ogba , the President of the Federation and his technical director,cdmr Omatseye Nesiama,  will lead eight  other officials  to the events.
