The 2015/16 Men’s Basketball Premier League is expected to tip off this weekend at both
the Savannah and Atlantic Conferences with the defending champions Mark Mentors
Basketball Club facing the Nigeria Immigrations in an opener.
The games will be played on Home and away bases ,so this means the defending Champions will host Immigrations at the Indoor Sports
hall of the National Stadium, Abuja
Mark Mentors head coach,Adeka Daudu told amarignis.blogspot.com that his team is ready to challenge for honours.
" We lost 80 percent nucleus of our players,we are in a rebuilding process trying to find a blend and rhythm with our relatively new set of players.We are working hard to ensure we close the gap created by the exit of our very experienced players"
"We know it will be a very challenging season,every team is strong and can win the League just like we did last season dethroning Kano Pillars,as Champions we know it will be a tough and copetitive call but we are ready to take all opposition,Adeka concluded.
In other matches for the opening day, dethroned
champions Kano Pillars will confront Gombe Bulls ,Plateau Peaks squares Bauchi
Nets ,as Niger Potters will play Kada Stars in the week one fixtures released
by the Nigeria Basketball Federation.
The top six teams from each conference will
qualify for the conference play offs.
