Kano Pillars Are the Biggest Winners In The Nigeria Premier League

Former Champions Kano Pillars made history as they ended up the biggest scorers in the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier League,decimating Coach Kadiri Ikhana ‘s Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan with six unreplied goals inside a filled 25, Sani Abacha Stadium in the commercial City of Kano in a week 13 fixture.


Emmanuel Edmund scored three times in the 37,58 and 82 minutes.It was Ifeanyi Matthew who opened the flood gate in the 11minute,Adamu Mohammed and Nafiu Ibrahim both hit the bulls eyes for the 5th and 6th goals to complete the routing for the coach Babaganaru Mohammed Pillars.


The victory takes Pillars to 4th position on the Log,after twelve games with a match to spare.

Also with a gave left to play,Abia warriors hit Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries three Nill to move up second place behind table toppers Enugu Rangers International,Wikki Tourists of Bauchi climb to six spot after a 3-0 thrashing IfeanyiUbah 3-0.

Abubakar Lawal hit a brace for Tourist side in the 50th and 79th minutes,Godwin Obaje was the one that scored first for Wikki in the 30'minute.

The closest scorelines were in week six when Ifeanyi Ubah won 4-1 against Ikorodu United and Wikki's 4-0 bashing of Warri Wolves .

Pillars are four time winners in the Nigerian Premier League ( 2007–08, 2011–12, 2013, 2014)
