Nigeria Women Premier League To Kick Off In May

The Nigeria Women Premier League will officially kick off 21st of  next month,at designated centers across the federation,the Adhoc Committee set up to  MIDWIFE  a new structure for the League in the country announced Friday in Abuja at the end of the Club Congress of the Nigeria Women Football League.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick representaed by his 2nd vice president Shehu Dikko declared the meeting open.

Dikko stated the resolve of the NFF to reactivate the league in other to make it commercially viable.
According to him:"The NFF is fully committed to embrace new areas to better the League,we see it as buisness and this is why we are throwing every thing to make it an improved that will be able to attract sponsors and run on its own"

"We enjoin all stakeholders to cooperate with us in this regard,we must all be ready to sacrifice for the good of the game and every one will be happier in the end"

And Adhoc committee chairperson Babagana Kalli revealed that the new structure will compose of an independent chairman to be selected by the NFF,two Chief excecutive officers and six members from the clubs that will represent the six geo political zones in the country.

He equally enjoined all sundry to put  hands on the plough to see the new system work.
The draws was also conduct for the new season in the 18 team format for the Premier League,the clubs were divided into two groups of eight teams each.

Former chairperson of the League,Dilichukwu Onyedinma was present at the Congress,also present were National Technical director Nigeria Football Federation ,Amodu Shaibu,and chairman  Female club owners Association,HRH,Audu Nuhu.
