Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifier:Nigeria In the Semis


The Nigerian foursome,led by captain Agera.
Host Nigeria,Egypt,Rwanda and Mauritius are the four countries that have made it to the semi final of the African qualifier for the Women's Beach Volleyball event of the 2016 summer Olympic games in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.


Nigeria finished top of group A with Mauritius coming second.Rwanda emerged leaders in group B and Egypt behind at the end of Day two matches at the Jabi Lake Resort,Abuja,Nigeria. 
In the last group games played Team Nigeria2 defeated Team Sierra Leaone1, 2-0 with scores at 21-10,21-18,while Team Nigeria 2,handed Team Sierra Leone 2, same 2-0 defeat but with scores at 21-7,21-12.

Team Nigeria saw off another Ghana in a West Africa derby 2-0,2-0 with scores at 21-13,21-14 and 21-5,21-12 to remain unbeaten so far.

In the first semi fainal,Nigeria's team 1 will battle Egypt's team 2  in court 1,while team Nigeria 2,face Egypt's team 1in court 2.both games starts at 11;30 am.

In the other semi final group B toppers Rwanda is up against Mauritius ,the matches will commence at 12:30pm.
The Gambia plays Namibia,Sierra Leone versus Morocco,while the 5th placement game is between Ghana and Mozambique
