Nigerian Clubs Hold Congress For Women League

The Congress for clubs in the Nigerian Women Leagues will hold today Friday, in Abuja,Nigeria's capital,the Babagana Kalli  Adhoc Committee temporarlily in charge of the League has stated.


Represntatives of the 16 premier and over 30 professional League clubsides are already in Abuja for the Congress that is expected to usher in the 2015/16 new season.

In February this year the Nigeria Football Federation set up a four man Adhoc Committee for the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) to fashion out a governance structure for the League.This was after the expiration of the tenure of Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma,former chairperson of the NWFL Board.

Borno State Football Association Chairman ,Babagana Kalli,Messrs.Sam Kombo,chairperson Pelican Stars Football Club of Calabar,and Emmanuel Zira-Adamawa Queens , are members .Mr.Ayo Abdulrahman is the secretary of the Committee.

Some of the issues to be dealt with include :
 *.Date for kick off the new season
*.The Draw.(For both the Premier and Professional Leagues)
*.Issues of Rules/Amendment
*.Type of League (Straight/Abridged League)
