Atlast! Amodu begins work as technical director of Nigeria Football

The waiting game is finally over for coach Shuaibu Amodu ,he was handed a letter Monday confirming his much publicised  appoinment as he technical director of the national teams of Nigeria by the country's Football ruling body.

The  Nigeria Football Fededration appointed Shuaibu Amodu as the technical director of the its national teams in May ,2013.

 Confirming this in Abuja on Monday, the former Super Eagles Head Coach said the appointment letter which has long been  expected is coming at a time when Nigerians are expecting a total rejuvenation of the all the national teams. According to him, the letter  dated 1st April, 2015 outlined some of his duties to among other things to include developmental approaches for  the country’s football.
 “You can see that my duties surpass that of overseeing the activities of the Super Eagles coaches to include that of all our teams including our various clubs”.

57 years old  Amodu said he would formally resume at the secretariat today to begin work “I will resume today, and other things would fall in place”. The letter further stated that the appointment was necessitated by Coach Shuaibu Amodu’s experience which span for 30 years.
Amodu an indigene of Edo state South South Nigeria,has had a fifth spell  coaching the Nigeria Super Eagles.

He also had stints at club level with BCC Lions of Gboko,El-kanemi Warriors of Maidugiri,Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan,and Orlando Pirates of South Africa.

Shuaibu Amodu is currently a recognized Football instructor by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the  Federation of International Football (FIFA)
