Blessing Disappoints in Women's 100m,As Jamaicans Continue to Rule




A Disappointed Blessing.
Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare failed to make it to the finals in the women’s 100m.after returning in a time of 11.09s behind eventual winners Elaine Thompson of Jamaica and English Gardner of Great Britain in heat three, Sunday.


In the women’s final 100m dash race decided  Sunday Elaine Thompson of Jamaica won the race in time of 10.71s,twenty four year old Thompson, made it, just 0.01 seconds outside her personal best.

Tori Bowie of the USA came second in time of 10.83s,while two time champion,
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also of Jamaica settled for the bronze medal.

Africa took the 4th position as Ivorian Marie-Josee Talou finshed  in a time of 10.86s.
