Sixty three year old German coach,Gernot Rohr
has been handed the job of the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles by the
Nigeria Football Federation,the NFF.
The NFF says Rohr ,is expected to arrive the
country today alongside two of his aides and would afterwards sign the contract lines in Lagos,this is ahead of his unveiling that will hold in Abuja on
Monday.
The choice of the German tactician the NFF says
is because of his pedigree and experience,his knowledge of African Football and
his ability to effectively communicate in English.
Rorh before now was
working on development programmes for the German Football Association,and has
coached the national teams of Gabon,Niger and Burkina Faso and several
clubsides which include French sides FC Nantes, Olympique Gymnaste Club Nice,FC
Bordeaux,Athletic Club Ajacio , Young
Boys FC of Switzerland and Etoil du
Sahel of Tunisia.
Nigeria begins her Russia 2018 World Cup
qualifying campaign in October this year against Zambia.
