2016 WOQT:D'Tigresses Drop Eleven Points To Belarus In Group C Opener

Nigeria Monday lost by 11 points to highly rated Belarussian side in her group C opening game at the ongoing FIBA Women's Olympic qualifying Tournament in Nantes ,France with the tie ending 71-60 in favour of the Europeans.
   
D'Tigresses tied in the first quarter 14-14,lost the 2nd and 3rd quarters,24-18,20-13 but went ahead to win the 4th 15-13.
Adaora Elonu was outstanding ,with a game high effort of 19 points, Ndidi Madu scored 18 points . For rebounds ,Uju Ugoka - 9 Assist,and 4 -for Ezinne Kalu.

As much as Adaora Elonu tried to row against the tide with her game-high 19 points,  the game belonged to the veteran  Belarussians.
  
Nigeria may have had an impossible mission against Belarus,they have another chance tomorrow as they face Korea Tuesday 

The  Hero for Belarus on the day were Anastasiya Verameyenka,Yelena  Leuchanka,and  Maryia Papova complimenting a dominant effort of Anastasiya.
