In a
separate development, the Nigeria National League is mourning the sudden and
shocking demise of Stephen Okechukwu Keshi whose death occurred in the early
hours of Wednesday morning.
The
symbolical ex-Nigerian Footballer and coach of the Super Eagles, Keshi died at
the age of 54 from what experts have described as cardiac arrest in his country
home Benin,Edo State,South South Nigeria.
Lawrence said,
“It is very sad that Keshi had to take an exit at this time in our nations football,
words are too inadequate to describe this gloomy development and how we
feel,Keshi was very passionate with his job and service to fatherland, having
worked closely with him in the national team”
“It is quite
unfortunate but what can we do, it is the will of God. Death is a necessary end
that will come when it will come, we pray that God will rest his soul in peace
and give the family he left behind the courage to bear the irreparable loss”
Katken ended.
