Flying Eagles Inch Closer To Zambia 2017,To Face Sudan

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the final round of the African U-20 Cup of Nations to be hosted by Zambia in 2017.

Nigeria won the return leg tie Saturday at the U.J.Esuene Stadium, Calabar  against Burundi 2- 1,Victor Osihmen converted a penalty for the first goal   and captain Kelechi Nwakali got the second off a beautiful free kick,the Young Swallows of Burundi reduced the tally 8 minutes later,through Ndikumana Magloire, to end proceedings 2-1,and 3-1 on aggregate.


Nigeria will now face Sudan in the final qualification round .
Meanwhile,the Flying Eagles observed a one minute silence for the departed souls of coaches Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu ,this is following the approval by the Confederation of African Football(CAF)  of the request by the Nigeria Football Fedeartion for  a one minute silence and black armbands in honour of both coaches in  today's CAF U-20 Cup of Nations qualifier in Calabar.
A win  in both leg tie against  Sudan  in July will guarantee Nigeria a spot at the CAF U-20 Nations cup in Zambia.
