Danjuma Interim- Falcons handler |
Interim coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria'Christopher Danjuma does not want stakeholders to write off his team even as it appears the team's 1-1 result with Equatorial Guinea in the first leg in Abuja last Saturday has made the second leg pretty difficult.
Chairman of the Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation,Felix Anyansi Wednesday held a meeting with coach Danjuma ,and after expressed strong hope that the SuperFalcons will make progress
in their qualification race for next year’s Olympic Games in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil.
coach Danjuma said " It will be a fight to finish in Malabo,It is a matter of now or never ,it is a must win game for us and we will give it every thing in our arsenal to make it happen"
Danjuma also denied been under pressure in his new capacity as the Falcons handler, hear him:" Pressure from any quarter no! all i know is that i needed to keep up and improve the known standard of performance,in life stages have different demands, formerly an assistant coach and now the head coach,it is of course a different ball game and we know that"
The winner between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in the final leg will meet the winner of the
clash between South Africa and Kenya for the final spot in the women's Football event of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Nigeria failed to go to the last Olympic Games in London 2012.
