Team Nigeria at the
11th edition of All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo had garnered
as at Thursday, September 17, forty-one (41) gold, fifty (50) silver and
thirty-seven (37) bronze medals to enhance the chances of making the top three
medal winners. Nigeria has strong hope of harvesting

Athletics produced ten gold, nine silver and three bronze. Weightlifting harvested eight gold, eighteen
silver and nine bronze medals in its different weight categories, while boxing
had four gold and two silver medals.
Others sports are powerlifting with six gold, four silver and one
bronze; para-athletics won four gold, six silver and five bronze medals;
cycling won one gold and one silver; table tennis had one gold, two silver and
two bronze medals.
Beach volleyball won
one gold; Taekwondo delivered three silver and two bronze. Badminton had one
silver and five bronze, while gymnastics and karate got two bronze medals each, totaling one hundred and twenty-eight (128) medals won so far.
