Stars Are Nation-Wide League One Champions In Kano

Rising Stars FC of Jigawa are winners of the Nationwide League One(NLO) division three playoff held in Kano centre, after defeating Funtua FC 2-0 in the  final game played Wednesday.
The victory means the Stars have gained automatic promotion to division Two ,pending ratification by the Nation-Wide League one.
The Stars won four matches ,scoring 14 goals and conceded only one in four games to emerge champions in their zone .
Rising Stars defeated Talba FC in group A opening game by 3-0, and went ahead to humiliate Gods Wanders 4-1 in their second game before demolishing Balanga Fc 5-0 in their last group game played on Wednesday.
In the same vein, Gods Wanders was relegated to the State League having failed to secure a win and eventually lost to Gombe Lions in best losers' playoff.
Gombe Lions thumped Gods Wanders 2-0 to escape relegation.
