Nigeria Tango Mozambique In Afrobasket Women's Quarter Final

Nigeria will face Mozambique one of Africa's two representatives at the  2014 FIBA Women's World Cup Championship in the quarter finals of the ongoing Women’s Afrobasket Championship in Yaoundé, Cameroon on Thursday.


The Senior Women’s   team,   D’ Tigress maintained a four winning streak after the opening game loss to Angola on Tuesday.  The Nigerian Women finished second in group B behind Angola.


D’ Tigress  lost 51-57 to eventual group winners Angola and went on to win 97-86 against Egypt, B  100-47 over Guinea, 75-64 against Senegal and 79 -49 triumph over Algeria.


Other quarter final parings include:Wild card entrants Egypt versus host Cameroon,Gabon who are returning after a decade absence squares defending champions Angola,while two former African Champions,Senegal and Mali battle for supremacy.

The Classification ties will see Algeria taking on Uganda,and South Africa versus Guinea.
